Despite an expanded scope in terms of groundwater sampling and reporting level of effort, FTS has been able to reduce overall annual OM&M costs by 20% from the start of the project. This was accomplished through staff efficiency, vendor negotiations, and on-site equipment repair and maintenance.
FTS annual site operations and maintenance activities include:
- Hydraulic containment
NAPL recovery (5,000 gallons)
Treatment of 1,600,000 gallons of groundwater (combined phase groundwater and DNAPL is recovered and processed through a clarifier and oil water separator prior to reinjection)
Groundwater sampling (72 wells)
Preparation of associated groundwater reports
